But the book is finished and will be published this year. It just goes to show that when you're pushed, you're going to push back. Rise to the occasion, because success may be just around the corner.
Here are three characteristics that all successful people share, and how you can adopt them:
1. Refrain from being distracted.
Each and every time. Because they are disciplined goal-setters, successful people make better use of their time. I'm referring to high-achievers who never take a break. Sure, there are vacations and family time, but those come after success has been achieved.
Successful people have the same list of tasks to complete as everyone else, but the difference is that they make time to complete them all without making excuses. They may not enjoy it, but that is beside the point. What matters is that it is completed. They are disciplined in their work planning and execution.
Even after you've reached that level of success, the work never stops. I'm always looking for a good, profitable investment. I may be out with my family, but my mind is always on the lookout for business opportunities. When I'm not at work, I don't just turn it off.
2. Every day, read something new.
You must first learn before you can earn in any field. Understand your product, customers, and competitors. Then, keep learning.
3. Take pride in your failures.
Fail as many times as possible. Nobody succeeds. It's a fact of life. Too many people interpret failure as a sign that it's time to give up. Those people don't farewell. What distinguishes successful people is their ability to get back up and try again with a better plan for success the next time.
If you want to adopt the habits of successful people, you must first make a change within yourself.
